Smokey Cranberry Apple Pork Chops – These pork chops have a great sauce made with fruit to make them a bit sweet, but the little ones may not like the added heat from the cayenne. That’s not a problem, just leave it out! Or still make it according to the recipe, but serve the kid’s chop plain with out the sauce.
Asian Barbecued Flank Steak – This is a fun steak that the little ones should enjoy just as it is. The sauce is similar to a jazzed up ketchup, and you know every kid loves ketchup.
Queso Fundido with Steak, Chicken and Shrimp – This dish is great for everyone to pull up to the table for, with its yummy proteins and tons of cheese. The additional jalapenos come in a separate bag so no worries, only the adventurous need to top theirs.
Chicken Rustico – If your kids are afraid of mushrooms and artichokes, all you will need to do for this one is just cook one of the chicken breast separate. They can dip it in their favorite sauce, or put it on a bun for a fun chicken sandwich.
Coconut Shrimp with Island Marmalade– These crispy shrimp have a nice crust that kids will love. The dipping sauce is even a winner, made from orange marmalade and mustard. Kids love chicken nuggets, so why wouldn’t they love a shrimp nugget?
Fiesta Chicken Chowder – This is such a yummy soup! Filled with black beans, corn, rice and nacho cheese. They’re going to love this burrito in a bowl.
Blackened Pork Tenderloin with Au Jus – The only part the little ones may not like about this one is the blackened seasoning, but that’s OK. When in the store just put the seasoning in a separate bag. When you’re ready to cook your tenderloin just season one half of the tenderloin. This way their half will be mild and yummy!
Pasta Florentine – This great pasta dish is good for the whole family, even if the young ones won’t eat anything green. The spinach and red pepper mixture comes in a separate bag that can be cooked as a side vegetable instead of mixing it in to bake with the pasta.
Beef Stroganoff – Our version of stroganoff is made with Cream of Mushroom Soup so the mushrooms shouldn’t be noticed at the dinner table, but if you still think the kids won’t eat it, just separate it. Serve them a spoon of egg noodles, and spoon of steak strips before you fold in the cream mixture for the adults.
Tandoori Chicken with Couscous – This dish may be hard to change up for those picky eaters, but for those little ones who like things with lots of flavor it will be perfect.
Texas Tamale – This is a great big dish with great big flavor! It has many different ingredients, and can always be adjusted by what the kids will or won’t eat, without changing the fact that you will still love it.
Tuna Steaks with Tomato Sesame Coulis – The coulis may have a bit more of an adult flavor, but that’s OK, just serve the young ones their tuna with tartar sauce.
Seared Chicken with Basil Mustard Cream Sauce – This dish is the yummiest thing you, or your kids will put in your mouths. Our cream sauce is dressed with a hint of pesto and mustard just to kick it up, but it’s still going to have that rich feel-good feeling when you eat it, just like your favorite mac-n-cheese!
Cuban Style Piñón – This dish may be hard to change up for those picky eaters, but for those little ones who like things with lots of flavor it will be perfect. But you can remove some of the pork before adding the remaining ingredients, and serve it up with a little honey mustard to the little ones.
Crispy Ranch Chicken – This has “for kids” written all over it! With the ranch dressing marinade to the yummy crust, you can’t go wrong!

Pork Cotoletta with Sweet Potato Orzo – This yummy dish is full of fall flavor. Kids will love the thin crisp pork chops that are lightly seasoned and pan-fried. We then have an orzo pasta, which can be portioned out for the kids before the diced roasted sweet potatoes and walnuts are tossed in.
Muffuletta Chicken – This remake of the traditional sandwich has all the items separate so that mommy can start with just a chicken breast and then build on it based on the child’s likes and dislikes.
Steak Diane – Cook the bistro steak as instructed, but before dressing with the sauce slice off a few slices and place on a dinner roll or bun and serve with cheese or the child’s choice of sauce. You will have a great slider sandwich for them and a grown-up meal for you.
Chicken Milanese with Herbed Polenta – This is also another great kid dinner that can be adjusted if they are a bit picky. The chicken is battered and cooked, which can be served separate. Then the polenta is a creamy mixture with good flavor, and if the kids are adventurous you can go ahead and top it all with the marinara and diced tomatoes, just tell them it’s spaghetti sauce.
Apricot-Bourbon Glazed Stuffed Pork Tenderloin – This is more of a grown-up dish, but if your child likes apricots and cranberries then this will be a winner.
Kung Pao Chicken – Our version is a sweeter style, and won’t have your kids running for water to drink because it’s hot. They should enjoy the flavored chicken and if peanuts are not preferred just don’t toss them into their portion.
Panko Crusted Tilapia with Sweet Onion Corn Relish – Just because we have added a gourmet sauce to these wonderful tilapia filets, doesn’t mean you have to cook something separate for the little ones. Serve the fish by itself after cooking and dress it with tartar sauce instead. They will love eating their homemade version of fish sticks, while you enjoy your culinary creation.
Peperoncini Steak with Capellini and Asiago Cream Sauce – This dish can be made kid friendly in so many ways. First, the pasta can be served separate for just them, and then the steak can as well. The cream sauce is very mild and similar to a homemade Alfredo. And don’t worry about the peperoncini, just keep them for your dish, but if the kids want to try them they are a sweet style pepper.
Chicken Mexicala – This flavorful bake, is so creamy and good! Just let your kids know it’s like a Mexican Lasagna, and the best part is they wont find anything green hiding in their dinner.
Mushroom and Pork Fricassee – This dish starts with cubed pork sweetened with the a little brown sugar, ginger and cloves, which can all be adjusted. Serve some of the pieces of cubed pork separate with a little dipping sauce for the little ones, then for mommy and daddy add the mushroom gravy mixture that makes for a gourmet meal.
Homemade Calzones – This was made special for kids. Each one can be customized to the exact likes of the kids. Only cheese, we got it….pepperoni and cheese only, we got it….vegetable, we got it!
Cranberry Chicken – This dish is a very good meal made with a marinade of cranberry sauce and Catalina/French dressing, which cooks down to a sweet glaze that any kid will love.
Argentinean Grilled Flank Steak with Black Bean Vinaigrette – This great steak is perfect for a fun eclectic dinner, but if the herbed and spiced crust is too much for the little ones it can be removed after cooking and the kids will never know it was there.
Potato and Corn Seafood Chowder – This yummy chowder is full of potatoes and corn along with sweet crabmeat. This dish will be loved by the older kids, and some of the young ones.
Mini Meatloaves – Kids love meatloaf and they will love their own little meatloaf even better. These are served up separate to create a fun experience for even the littlest critic.
October Menu Ideas

French Beef with Herbed Dumplings – This recipe does have a rich flavor, but is very good for kids because it doesn’t carry any spicy flavors. If you feel your child still won’t like the flavors of the red wine gravy, you can always pull out some of the steak and even carrots after the sauté and serve separate. And if you would like to share the dumplings just boil a small amount of water or broth separate, and cook a little of the dough separate as well.
Seville Almond Chicken – This dish is very easy for kids to like, and if you think to yourself “my kids eat all the ingredients just not together”, then cook the rice pilaf as instructed and set a little to the side before mixing in the oranges and carrots. As to the chicken there shouldn’t be a problem, it is lightly floured and pan-fried, which makes for a yummy meal with their rice pilaf.
Ricotta Stuffed Eggplant Parmesan – If your child loves lasagna or even cheese sticks then you won’t have a problem with this one. There is so much fun stuff going on in this dish from the breaded eggplant, the creamy ricotta and cheese, and yummy marinara. .
Spiced Tilapia with Tomatillo Salsa – Afraid of the spice, don’t be. Just place the spices for the tilapia in a separate Ziploc, and when ready to prepare only dress mommy’s and daddy’s fish. This way they can still enjoy the healthy benefit of the tilapia.
Pork Tenderloin with Coconut Lentils and Spinach – You can change this dish up several ways. First, place tenderloin seasoning in a separate bag, then dress only half of the tenderloin at cooking time, this way you will have a portion of the tenderloin that is mild. Cut up the kid’s portion and serve with dipping sauce, or on a fun roll to make a little slider burger with BBQ sauce. Second, the lentils have a sweetness to them from the coconut milk, if your child enjoys beans then suggest these are just baby beans. And third, you can always save the spinach for the grown ups.
Chicken Apple Alouette – This is a fun little package of a meal. Kids will love this chicken wrapped in a crispy, buttery type biscuit with an enjoyable cream cheese filling. If your kids will be hesitant about the spice and fruit in the cream cheese then place it in a separate bag, mix only mom and dad’s portion later.
Steak Soft Tacos with Horseradish Bleu Cheese – The seasoning on this steak is a flavorful blend, but mild when it comes to spiciness, so kids should love the flavor as long as you lower the horseradish added to the meat marinade. Then when preparing the dressing just place the bleu cheese dressing and horseradish separate so that you can mix a portion of it up just for the parents.
Southwest BBQ Pulled Pork Egg Rolls – These fun eggrolls are filled with shredded pork and BBQ sauce, if you’re afraid the young ones won’t enjoy them loaded with the corn and black beans, just wrap a few during your session with the pork only.
Rustic Chicken and Potato Gratine – This is a historically “Dinner A’Fare Kid Friendly Dish”. You will have no problems with this one.
Chili Con Carne – Most kids love tasty, warm chili, and to jazz it up and make it even more appealing we’ve added shredded cheddar cheese. Now if that’s not enough you can always top it off with a little sour cream and serve it with tortilla chips so that they can make their own version of nachos.
Szechuan Shrimp – Szechuan is by nature suppose to have heat in the dish, but you can leave out the cayenne for a simpler version, or place your marinade in a separate bag, and when you’re at home separate a few of the shrimp for the young ones before adding the marinade.
Walnut and Cheddar Stuffed Pork Chops – This dish is very easy to change. The stuffing comes separate so you can just leave it our of the child’s pork chop.
Crusted Chicken with Jalapeno Corn Salsa – On this meal you just go shy on the spices with heat for the breading on the chicken, and the jalapeno corn salsa is served separate. The kids can always dunk their chicken in a different sauce you have on hand.
Caribbean Pork Dirty Rice – This dish is packed full of flavor, but for those tiny ones you may want to cut back on the spices. If you don’t want to adjust anything you can always serve a little of the rice to the side before mixing with the rest of the ingredients, as well as some pineapple, beans and pork.
White Lasagna with Chicken and Artichokes - Kids will love everything about this recipe, but if you question the artichokes just leave an edge without layering with the vegetable, mark which edge it is and serve that side up to the little ones.
September Menu Ideas

Hibachi Style Surf and Turf – This recipe has mild flavors so that the whole family can enjoy it, and with the traditional white sauce used for dipping, kids will love this dinner. The dish does call for a little oriental chili sauce, but when combined with the other ingredients, does not carry any heat. You can always opt to leave it out, or bag it separate to fold it in after the children’s portion has been removed.
Chicken Saltimbocca – If you think your little ones won’t go for the spinach and garlic in this dish then remove a little bit of the chicken after you have sautéed and browned it, but right before you add the wine sauce. You can also set aside some of the linguine. Then serve them separate or toss the chicken with the noodles and add your kid’s favorite vegetable and they have their own dinner without changing yours.
Dill Crusted Cod with Lemon Tartar Sauce – Every kid loves fish sticks, so I am sure they will love these crispy cod loins with tartar sauce. You probably won’t have to change a thing on this recipe for the kids.
Chicken and Cheese Stuffed Enchiladas – Kids of any age love items wrapped in tortillas, so you will be pleased when they dive into this dish. Our mild enchilada sauce dresses these fun tortillas filled with chicken and cheese. The kids don’t have to be afraid…there is not hidden ingredient here.
Sweet Jalapeno Pork Chops and Hickory Smoked Beans – These chops are glazed with apple jelly and jalapeno, but to make it kid friendly just place the jalapenos in a separate bag. Then add them atop your pork chop and not theirs. And as for the beans, they have a wonderful flavor that will remind them of a great bowl of chili.
Stuffed Chicken with Spinach and Roasted Red Peppers – This can be made kid friendly two different ways. If kids only like the chicken, just leave out the stuffing on one of them. If you think they will enjoy the cream cheese filling, but no vegetables, just place the vegetables in a separate bag, then stuff their breast with cream cheese filling, fold in the vegetables with the remaining cream cheese and stuff the adult portions.
Pretzel Crusted Pork Tenderloin with Mustard Cream Sauce – This will be a winner just like it is. What kid doesn’t love pretzels?
Bistro Cobb Chicken Burgers – If you are afraid your children won’t enjoy the toppings, then leave them off. You can still sauté the chicken and place on a bun with lettuce, tomato and honey mustard or ranch for them. This just means more topping for you.
Vegetable Chow Mein – Afraid they won’t eat the vegetables? Then remove some chow mein noodles before you toss in the veggie mix. You can add a small amount of the sauce to theirs just to dress it. They can still enjoy the fun dumplings!
Buffalo Shrimp with Chunky Bleu Cheese – If you are afraid the buffalo wing sauce will be too hot for their little taste buds, then just separate some of the shrimp after cooking, but before you toss it with the sauce. And the great thing about these shrimp is there is no shrimp tail to have to worry about pulling off for them.
Cuban Style Flank Steak – This dish has a sweet tangy flavor from the orange juice and lime juice, so you won’t have to change a thing. Just cut up the little one’s portion and serve it with dipping sauce, or on a dinner roll as a little slider.
Penne alla Carbonara – Kids will love this pasta dish, and for those who eat broccoli, you can toss it right in or serve it to the side. If broccoli isn’t their favorite just leave it off their plate.
Osso Buco – If carrots and diced tomatoes aren’t their favorites then just remove some of the cubed pork after you sauté them. Serve them separate with some BBQ sauce.
Crispy Barbecue Chip Chicken - If you know our recipe then you don’t even have to ask is it kid friendly. And if you don’t….I guarantee it!
Asian Turkey Burgers with Hoisin Ketchup - If water chestnuts and green peppers aren’t their thing, just leave them out of the mix when you make your burgers. Or make a plain turkey patty prior to adding the remaining ingredients for the others when you’re at the store.

Seared Chicken with Basil Mustard Cream Sauce – Our chicken breast for this dish can always be served separate if kids want to dip it in ranch dressing, but I bet they will love our yummy béchamel sauce made with cream and pesto.
Orange Glazed Barbecue Pork Chops – Red pepper chili flakes are optional as always, but mom can always add them to a separate bag to dash the adult chops with. Kids should love the glaze as well since it’s made from barbecue sauce with a touch of fruit.
Flank Steak with Peppercorn Butter – To make this dish more kid friendly, place the peppercorn mélange, used to crust the steak with, in a separate bag. Then crust only half of the steak before placing it in a baking dish. This will cut down on the spice factor for the little ones since their half will be crust free.
Roasted Vegetable Lasagna – Kids love lasagna and you may just get away with sneaking these vegetables in since it has lots of gooey cheese.
Bahama-mama Pork Kabobs – The pork for the kabobs has a marinade of a flavorful blend of fruit juices. Yes it does have a touch of rum, but the alcohol cooks off during the cooking process. Some kids may also love the fruity Caribbean style ketchup used for dipping.
Chicken Picatta – These thin style chicken breast are pan fried to yield a fun golden crust that kids will love, and if the tart flavor of lemon isn’t their thing they can skip on the tangy veloute sauce made to garnish the chicken.
Tuscan Style Tilapia with White Bean Salad – This may not sound like a kid friendly dish, but I think you will be surprised at how kids love the flavor. A great way to get the little ones to eat high levels of protein and fiber.
Chesapeake Quesadillas – The Old Bay seafood seasoning comes in a separate bag, this way you can remove the little ones shrimp prior to garnishing with the seasoning. You can also place the green onions and bell peppers in a separate bag so that just mom and dad can enjoy them added to their quesadillas.
Finger Lick’n Chicken with Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce – This is an all time kids favorite just the way it is!
Pecan Crusted Pork Tenderloin – If kids like the crunchy texture of nuts then they will love this tenderloin with a fun exterior.
Sweet and Sour Chicken – If you think kids won’t like our traditional sweet and sour sauce then keep out a few pieces of the tempura battered chicken. They can always taste test it by dipping them into the sauce.
Cheese Ravioli Parma Rosa – Kids love pasta, especially filled with lots of cheese. Our sauce is yummy as well, but if the diced tomatoes scare them away, just put them in a separate bag and add them later to your Alfredo after their ravioli has been dressed.
Hawaiian Style Calzones – Like our regular favorite Homemade Calzones, you can make each one different from the next, so with our ingredients served up separate you can leave out certain items or even make it “Cheese Only Please”.
Gingered Beef Fried Rice – Kids typically love fried rice and with our cooking combination you can serve out a little beef before tossing it in with the rice or serve them each separate for those picky ones who like it in different places on their plate.
